Happy Easter!

Here's a cross that I see everytime I cross over the TN river. The story behind the cross involves a man's love for his wife who died from cancer. He had the cross placed on the hill as a memorial to his wife. What an awesome way to remember a loved one! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

A Glimpse

Sunsets are just little glimpses of the Golden streets of Heaven.

Serenity

My son and I came up on this peaceful place when we went on a walk near our house. I thought I would post this picture with the Serenity Prayer.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
(Although known most widely in its abbreviated form above, the entire prayer reads as follows...)
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

LOL

Well, they say laughter is the best medicine. Ever laugh so hard that you can't see? This comical horse reminds me of those times. Nothing like a good belly laugh! I happened to capture this when I went to a friend's beautiful home to photograph their horses this past week. I definitely plan to post some pics from that special day, so come back and check in again!

Off to the river!

So, how does the Tim Mcgraw song, "Live Like you were Dying" go??? Something about "I watched an eagle as it was flying." Well, that's exactly what I did today. I went to a military park close by where two eagles have built a huge nest and have just hatched a baby chick this past Saturday. Here's Hiram, named after Civil War general Hiram Ulysses Grant. He was getting ready to fly to the river and bring back a fish for Mom and baby.

Moving forward and not looking back

So here goes my first official post. I decided to start this blog because it just seems like in life we stay on the go all the time, never taking the time to slow down and just enjoy life. Honestly, who has time to get it all done? Well, I'm trying to take the time. This first post represents my attempt to "slow down" and truly notice God's handwriting all around me.
